Hosts Mayor Phil Gordon and Chef Christopher Gross welcome you to sample food made with Arizona products from our Market vendors and local restaurants. Listen to live music while sipping local wine and beer Bid on some fantastic gifts at our silent auction and Help us celebrate this community gathering place which is supporting small farmers and microbusinesses from all around Arizona. All proceeds support Community Food Connections, the non-profit organization which runs the Phoenix Public Market. The event will be held at 14 East Pierce Street in downtown Phoenix, the site of the new Urban Grocery and Wine Bar and outdoor market.

Wednesday Market: Enjoy a wine tasting by Dos Cabezas Vineyard inside the Urban Grocery and Wine Bar as well as samples of Mi Catering’s salsas and burritos!
Outside, performers from The Renaissance Faire, including a Vegetable Jug Band will be mingling and making merry! The Bread Basket Bakery, Café Justo, Dr. Hummus, Wei of Chocolate and the Tamale Store are just some of the other vendors, along with our farmers and ranchers, who will participate tonight.

Blackbird Naturals brings their handmade truffles using 100% organic chocolate and local ingredients! Phoenix Recycles will be on hand to let you know about their programs including the Recyclebank program being piloted in the neighborhoods surrounding the Market. US Census2010 will be recruiting workers as well as getting the word out about the importance of being counted…and Sherrye’s Kitchen debuts some killer “Caramel Addiction” gourmet brownies.
Coming up: Devoured Phoenix - March 13th and 14th at the Phoenix Art Museum, featuring Phoenix eateries, fine wines, and fine art. Headed up by Devour Phoenix and Local First Arizona, this event is put on to promote local Arizona producers of fine food and drink to further show that Phoenix is a top international dining destination. The museum’s Dorrance Sculpture garden will be the scene for the over 40 food, wine, and beer showcases. Also, in the museum’s Great Hall, there will be live interactive food seminars, farm to table presentations, wine pairing, beer pairing and top nutritional experts sharing their secrets with you on stage!
